A Hope for Today…sharing universal messages of hope for today, while promoting hope, peace, love, equality, and unity for all people.

Regardless of life’s outcomes,

HOPE gets us through life’s experiences.

This website has two kinds of posts:  1.  Parable-type posts that use every day objects and experiences or current events to help people renew or find hope in their lives; 2.  Posts that challenge their readers to think about societal and global issues such as  poverty, hunger, water, peace, human diversity, global unity, etc.

A Hope for Today is also the home of the Hope Unites Globally HUG Award©.   You can learn about the HUG Award© at  http://ahopefortoday.com/2012/01/14/hope-unites-globally-hug-award-guidelines/.

This was a comment received by email from MJ Milillo: “I always look forward to reading your blogs and enjoy watching the relevant videos you post to complement your words. What you do is different from other blogs I’ve seen and it appeals to both readers and watchers. Your addition of a video or two with a brief, concise message of wisdom helps people feel hopeful during these difficult economic times. People are inundated with lots to read and I think they appreciate the fact that you get right to the point and help people feel more positive and optimistic about life.”

  2. Thanks for sharing hope and inspiration for those who have given up and are believing the lies of the thinking mind. It is posts like this that encourage our fellows to trudge this happy road to destiny!

  3. Hi Connie….thank you for the warm and nurturing comment you just left on my own blog…. the warmth of your words are deeply appreciated…thank you.
I can’t remember whether I linked this post/video to you….I linked it to someone in the past few days, but my memory seems a big “foggy” this morning…it’s about “hope”. It was written by Maria,(enermazing) a woman who lives in Greece and I put it on a “page” and made a “slideshow/video” out of it…

    Hello Connie,
I just wanted you to know that I nominated you for the Candle Lighter Award, to read more about it and get your award please visit my site. God bless.-watw

    • Connie Wayne says:

Thank you so much Woman at the Well. This was such a pleasant surprise today after being away from home since Christmas Eve. It was definitely a pick-me-up. I have been staying at the hospital with my sister who had a heart attack on Christmas Eve, so I have not been able to access my blog or do any blogging. I would appreciate your prayers for my sister. I also have a brother who will have cancer surgery on January 9th, so please include him in your prayers. Times are difficult right now, but I remain hopeful. Thanks for being a new friend. Blessings, Connie

  5. Congratulations on the Candle Lighter Award!

  6. VIKRAM ROY says:

Thanks for the hope. Hope for the same as the hope today!

  7. Old Raven says:

Stopping by your blog and seeing “hope” is surely one first step towards peace.

  8. hugmamma says:

Kate at “believeanyway” sent me to your blog. She suggested you might help me with the problem I’m having inserting youtubes onto my posts. But that seems inconsequential compared to what’s occurring in your life right now. So no worries there.

I too will offer prayers and positive thoughts for you and your family. Having received one of Kate’s Candle Lighter Awards, I will make certain to keep the flame flickering …to offer light…during your time of darkness…

going forward…i wish you more blessings…than you can count…hugmamma. ;)

    • Connie Wayne says:

Please check your email. I am happy to email you instructions for how I insert videos into my posts. Let me know if it works or what other problems you have. Hopefully, I can help you. Thanks for your prayers and positive thoughts for my family. They are both doing much better, and I am at home and back to blogging again. I look forward to visiting your site. Blessings, Connie

Email from BJ White: “I want to add again that I am
thankful to have your writings to read, enjoy and apply. Feels like
    “Soul Food” to me.”

  10. Connie Wayne says:

Thanks BJ. I hope you will feast your soul full. Blessings, Connie

  11. This is a beautiful mission and much the same as mine. All I have done is taken hope and turned it into a positive action. By working within the current economy we can ultimately free ourselves from it.

    • Connie Wayne says:

I think there are a lot of folks like us who are doing very similar work with our writing. We are trying to make positive changes in our world. Let me know if there is any way that I can help you with your endeavors, or we can join our efforts. Blessings, Connie

  12. Connie, you have a wonderful enlightening site here, Hope is there for all, we need now more than ever to come together in Truth, and Light, to bring together and Heal our World.. We need to spread that ripple around as we send out our positive thoughts~ as our thoughts hold such power in vibration as we start to change the frequencies around our Earth Mother… Now is the time… For we came for this time, we came to be strong.. we came to do battle.. We are the Warriors of Light working constantly behind the scenes in our own way, But we are now all being led to shine our Lights brighter and Shout our battle cries louder as we have to assist this Earth and overcome those Darker forces..
Keep, Keeping on my Sister of Light.. for the Battle is already won,.. we just need to believe and trust again in our inner lights to guide us to all do the right thing..
Love and Peace.. xx ~Dreamwalker xx

Sue, Thank you so much for the encouragement. Yes, the hopes I share for all Creation are the same hopes shared by many, but they may be too steep and scare others. I hope not. I believe there are a lot of bloggers who are already doing the work, but they may not be aware of the goals they are already achieving.

It sounds as if you share my same hopes for Creation. If no one has yet nominated you for the Hope Unites Globally HUG Award, I would like to nominate you. You can find information about it in my recent post with the title HUG Award Guidelines at http://ahopefortoday.com. I hope you will accept the award and pass it along to others you think also deserve the award. HUGS and Blessings, Connie

      • Many Thanks Connie for the award.. I seem to have been blessed with awards recently.. some I still have to follow through with.. I will go visit your post… but I cannot say when I will follow through .. But its enough to know that there are many of us out here with one thought.. Blessings to you xx

  13. Hello. I love your blog and wanted you to know that I have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. You can find the details at the following link:

    • Connie Wayne says:

I am so glad that you love my blog, and I am honored to be nominated by you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Thanks for nominating me. If you love my blog, then you are probably a person who deserves to be nominated for the Hope Unites Globally HUG Award mentioned on my site. Please consider yourself nominated by me. Read the Guidelines at http://ahopefortoday.com/2012/01/14/hope-unites-globally-hug-award-guidelines/ to know what to do to receive the award and how you can share it with others. This award is not limited to just websites and blogs. You can nominate people in your community, at your employment, or where you worship, etc. I say that it is not a “fluff” award; it is a “tough” award. Blessings, Connie

  14. Hi Connie, I just nominated 3 people for the HUG award…I don’t know whether they’ve been nominated by others…all 3 have wonderful, courageous blogs that really meet the criteria you mention…Nancy Hatch, from Spirit Lights the Way,http://nrhatch.wordpress.com/2012/01/15/what-makes-you-you/ , Art from zendictive http://zendictive.wordpress.com/2011/10/24/reflections-of-self/ , and Marie (sufilight) from Love is the Answer http://dancewithtruth.wordpress.com/ …all 3 are truly remarkable. There are many others I could nominate to,but I’m a bit tired….I wonder what’s happening to me?….so will at least get started with those 3. What a wonderful award you have created. Thank you so much.

    • Connie Wayne says:

Thanks so much for notifying me of these nominations. Please let me know if they accept. Nominate as many as you want because I am sure there are a lot of folks out there who deserve it. I am so glad that our paths have crossed and that we share the same love for all humanity. Please take care of yourself and don’t push yourself too much. You’ve got to save some energy for all that creative talent you have. I am so glad you like the award. It is a “tough” award, but there are a lot of folks who live up to it, and I definitely think you are one of them. Have a good evening, Connie P.S. I am interested in a suncatcher. You can let me know later how to go about getting one.

  15. Thanks for your kind words over on Thoughts on Theatre. Continue to share that wonderful, gracious spirit of yours!
